Code Mut: Per Server Stats

More and more servers are poppin up were serverperks is edited without renaming the package. Im getting mismatches all over the place, on the serverbrowser.

Good stuff...I think KF is slowly heading to its death if this continues...that or were going to be better off playing vanilla... :mad:

Agreed. I complained to this admin to change the names of everything that he changed as ALL of his stuff was altered but not renamed.

Hey everyone!

I don't know if it's not here already but it's worth a try:

I tried to put together ServerPerksV5 and IJC Weapon Pack and finally I think I was successful! I managed to get the perks working with the guns so for example the medic gun from IJC weapon pack is discounted and the M99 works well with a sharpshooter, also the support and KSG and so on....

What I did:
- all the discounts on all guns are active depending on your perk - so the M7A3M doesn't cost 15000 anymore if you're a medic and so on
- the damage, clip size, ammunation, and (not sure if I didn't forget it!) the price of ammunation corresponds to your perk
- done for all perks
- also updated a slot machine mut to work with the 1031 X-Mas edition (now it spawns the right monsters --Christmas--)

Does anyone have a solution the most current ServerPerksV5 and the IJC WP not working together as of 5/4/2012? It seems that the WP kills the perks in subsequent maps as well as the prices remaining high in addition to other issues. Also there are many confusing and contradictory instructions for installing the WP. If someone could suggest a fix and how to correctly install the IJC Wps + BD rifle that in its self could cut down on half the posts. I am working on a modded server and justgetting started with it. Thank you inadvance.

how did that happen in the first place?

Lazy modders for one, and another could be from this post in the "Modifying Perk Bonuses" thread:

did you get the source code?
open up the files under serverperksv5P, srvetcommando, srvetberserker, etc.
change the vaules for what you want in those, then delete serverperksv5p.u* in system folder, open killingfloor.ini, add in editpackages=serverperksv5p, and in a command prompt in system folder, type "ucc make"

Anyone editing perks with this method is going to cause version mismatches for ServerPerksV5P. Why do you think Flux and Gartley gave alternatives? Because their methods will avoid package mismatches while still doing exactly what the author was requesting. You don't mod KF by editing KFMod.u. Likewise, you don't mod ServerPerks by modifying ServerPerksV5P.u, ServerPerksV5.u, or ServerPerksMut.u. Marco already has an excellent system in place to add customized perks, and pretty much every customization made to ServerPerks can be done w/o touching a single file in the packages.

1.1 fixes the problem when server side perks are not running. However, it still requires an update.

This will fix the server crashing issue when leaving the server whilst in the car. Extract the files to Killing Floor\System folder. When running a server, add the following mutator to the mutator line: Mutator=KF_Vehicles_BD_Patch.VehicleGameMut At present, this does not work whilst using ServerPerks mod but will be compatible with the next ServerPerks version. Very big thank you to Marco for providing the fix on this issue. Hopefully, more cars and updates will come in the future but until then, please enjoy the mod :)

Oh, lol, I saw that I had the right levels in perk selection but didn't give it any more look in than that. tbh once players got into the cars I think they stopped give a damn about the perks. XD But you've got a point.

It'd also be nice to be able to select different serverperks configs with different voting configs but I think that is outside of what we can tamper with.

If I use Player name ID insteand of ID Hash would player (other ip) using other's nickname will get perks level ,or it has to be same ip and same nickname to save stats and use them later?

I don't really see how it would be safe to use IP-address since so many users have dynamic IP (like me) it would make you lose your stats from time to time (for name only there is already an option though). What's wrong with using SteamID hash then?
