3D & Animation Using Zed Meshes for Player Models?

I remember in KF 2.5 they used the stalker as a player model, but then again, I believe the player rigs and the zombie rigs were identical to the UT2004 ones, and last time I checked, the zombie and player rigs for KF are different... But, some guy did make a mod where the player models were zombies, I think he just linked the mesh and the animation up with eachother in UScript somehow. On the other hand, getting all the stuff to work correctly will require you to re-rig the models.
