If i stream or upload videos on youtube am i able to monetise the video and if not why or what am i abpe to do?

Monetizing videos is fine. Here is our policy. I recommend you link it in your descriptions. We have an issue with one or two songs being flagged when they shouldn't, and we are working to try to get that resolved. So if you do not wish to dispute any possible Content IDs, I recommend turning off the lyrics. I did that and never had an issue. Yeah, create what you want, we'd also like to see it.

Sorry, I'm a real YouTube noob, but are uploading to YT, so what does monetizing mean? Sorry to ask a stupid question that probably is obvious.

You really need a lot of views to make some significant cash, however.
