@voyager we are working on custom map workshop support. It's more complicated then item uploading due to unreal's package cooking system which we replaced for KF2 so it's taking more time to get up and running. These item packages don't need to be "brewed".

Besides maps, can we still get what we had in KF1, with client-side mods and mutators uploaded to the workshop?

I don't trust gamebanana as the site always gets a virus every now and then, and unfortunately everyone is uploading there.

I would like to know if it's possible to have one tutorial on how to make a model for different characters, do we have to make several 3dmodels (with a prefix on who they fit) in the package ?

Hi Soma,

Here are a few answers.

//LODS
Our polycounts are listed here in the documentation. https://tripwireinteractive.atlassi...F2SW/KF2+Item+Workshop+Technical+Requirements
We currently do not require lods, they are optional, but I guess that could change once we start integrating them. As a general rule we reduce each lod by 25% and have 3-4 total lod levels.

So if your polycount was 2000, lods would match this.
LOD0 = 2000
LOD1 = 1500
LOD2 = 1125
LOD3 = 840

//Updating
I believe this works but I haven't tested it, could you try it out and let me know what happens? I can download the package from my end and look at it as well.

Thank you for your answer on LOD I will take that into consideration.

I tried to update one of my workshop item by uploading the new package with the same name. It should be working : I haven't lost anything (rating/views), it was just hidden to public, but I can't say if it has really updated.
