KF2 Overall

No Title

Hi. 1K+ Kf1 player here with most achievs on HoE.
I have about 250 hours of Kf2 clocked (started playing in october)
I'm having just as much fun as I did when I first started playing KF1. KF2 feels like a modernized KF1, which I enjoy. Most of my issues with the first one have been alleviated with the sequel. It used to be a chore to get my friends to join me for Kf1, but now getting a game going with some mates for Kf2 is the easiest thing. I think the problem is you just wanted KF1 but with shiner graphics, rather than an actual sequel.

Also, I don't see the problem with zed conomy. It's all cosmetic content, and it's better than paying $10 for some cheap camo skins lol.

I'm guessing that you're fat?

Do you even bulk.

KF2 is a ok/good game with very good fundamentals, not always good gameplay mechanics or design choices and some horrendous systems (crates, paywalled weapons). It is also definitely not KF2.0. It is definitely playable and you can have some fun with it but its replayability is nowhere near KF1's. My only hope is that it is possible to make KF2.0 out of it but some things about it don't seem very moddable at all even though the devs wanted to put such a emphasis on it. Documentation and conventions around coding and level design are also very lacking which is very sad because it is a great detriment to people wanting to make custom content.

Why did it take them almost a full month to take a beta version of a small (emphasis on small) patch and release it now in almost the exact same state?

Seriously how can they work this slow? Are they on another company vacation?

Will you stop b*tching already? it's obvious you don't give a f*ck about KF2, and this post has gotten old before even being concieved.

People deserve to know why beloved Killing Floor has turned into a giant **** storm, just sayin.

you know.... KF1 is still around, they haven't erased it or anything, so go play that one instead, because they haven't ruined that game, they made a sequel, A DIFFERENT GAME, so shove that "just saying" up your *sshole, just saying.

I disagree.

Game's fun, better then kf1 imo.

I am eagerly awaiting new content from TWI, which will guaranteed come for 2017 as the year is fully financed and they announced numerous coming features/additions.

MT's is not mandatory, you don't have to spend a dime, you can even salvage your crates/usbs.

Too bad you don't like the game as is, I suggest changing game and coming back in a few patches, you already detailed what you think here, it's up to the devs if they want to overhaul the whole game because a handful people at the forums want it to be KF2.0, what do you think is the most likely outcome?

Hope you can find it in your heart to have fun with games you like, instead of complaining about things that will never be (Unless you mod it).

fukkin crate that I have to spend 5 dollars to open.

Every crate added to my inventory should be a dollar I get back for putting up with this bull**** design.
Five dollars to open a crate? WTF planet are you on?

You can't even pass this bs argument off anymore since you can now recycle crates for materials. Turn those materials into skins and cosmetics if you want. If you don't want to do that, you can sell them on the market and make money off of it so you can go buy a game you actually want to play.

Look, I come from the real world and in the real world those skins and cosmetics are just lines of code that can be copy/pasted unlimited times for free and the only reason some are more "rare" than others are because some copany that releases them says so. Do you know why gold is expensive? Why Diamonds are expensive? It's because they are actually rare in the real world. Why should a skin for a game be more rare than other?

Implementing valves crates in a game makes it a casino where the crates are the chips, Valve is the owner of the casino and KF2 is the free drinks you get while you gamble and you know the drinks are allways the cheapest kind. You can get drunk without gambling but it gets boring and you try your luck at least once.

I myself prefer expensive drinks. I drink rarely but I prefer to have the full experience instead of going to a casino, gamble and drink cheap drinks. Thats why I prefer big and expensive games that I put a lot of hours in and KF2 is not my cup of tea. I prefer to pay 100 bucks for a game but have it all like BF1 for example the game with season pass and everything costed me over 100$ but I played the **** out of it I have over 400 hours and going strong. Or Overwatch - 600 hours and still going strong. Yes they have microtransactions but they are not a casino like KF2 and Steam.

KF2 is at the bottom of Steam charts because the players didn't expect a virutal casino but a solid game with mechanics and everything. And they got what? A game so cheap that even the price for it is too much. A game where if you turn your back on the enemies to run - they teleport in front of you. A game without a single mechanic for taking out the bosses except Shoot them in the head. A game that has more paid cosmetics than mods in the workshop. A casual game so that it's easy enough for everyone to pick up as long as they open a crate or two ...

It's all messed up to begin with. Just like in this great comedy song.

Ive been seeing alot of misconceptions in the recent posts so let me clear some stuff up

1. crates cost 2.50 to open, not 5 dollars. also you can now break them down for crafting parts so they arent completely useless if you dont want to be involved with the gambling.

2. all crate items are cosmetic(the best kind of MT crate system hands down)

3. there the only pay walled weapon ATM is the zweihander, which you dont pay money for kinda, you just get it if you own chivalry. Also TW has made it clear that Any weapons behind a paywall will be accessible to people who haven't bought it, so long as they are playing with someone who has. say what you want about this mechanic but also realize KF1 had weapon DLCs as well.

4. "People deserve to know why beloved Killing Floor has turned into a giant **** storm, just sayin."
Merely your opinion and youve made it heard. enjoy the feedback and open your mind to new ideas.

people tend to forget that KF1 had not only paid DLC but some of the weapons gave you a clear advantage over players that didnt have the DLC. sure, most players would buy you a set if you had asked them yet it still stands..the paid for weapons where better (some) than what the game shipped with.

i havent been around the forum then but i can imagine there wasnt as much bile spewed out about paid xtra content back then (speculation).

iam no fan of how the current MT system works as i prefer to buy directly what i want. on the other hand its all cosmetics stuff and iam not bothered with it at all. + the crates can now be broken down to create material for making new weapon/cosmetics skins.

that this whole argument comes up time and time again seems to me alot of a just cry about something attitude. because you dont really need an argument but you can **** on the game.

btw non of the complainers seem to see that TWI is providing extra content for free over time to extend the lifetime or fun of KF2.

Whether or not there was more is hard to answer but there were enough complaints that the DLC weapons were tweaked at least once, if I'm remembering correctly.

My bad, I thought it was 5 dollars, but you can't deny that the game gets boring when you have nothing to earn except a loot crate at the end of a random round regardless of winning or not. It's pure laziness.

i see this from a different angle..personally iam playing for the gunplay, challenge to hold an unpopular spot or better myself learning what used to be combos in KF1. when i play KF2 i always hook up with mates on TS or discord and we have a laugh together while playing. this alone enhances the lifespan of KF2 for me.

the crates at the and are more of a joke for me because of how the MT is done..but that doesnt really bother me at all. agreed though that if you had something more meaningfull in place where you can choose what to open knowing what you'll get would be way better...and yes that seems to be some lazy implementation.

iam assuming you play this game with some of your friends..if not, try it out. especially with voice comms. if non of your mates play this game play for a little bit with pubs and talk to them..usually you get a few new mates fairly fast. at least that is my experience :)

The game is pretty bad. I returned my 40$ copy and bought it again for 6.99$ on another site. Couldn't justify Tripwire getting my money for this game. I play occasionally and routinely advise people against purchasing the game when they ask me if it's good.

Most of the classes have a single best perk loadout, many perk loadouts are just objectively awful, Commando class is **** and just an inferior SWAT. Also the devs are SJWs and you can tell just by looking at the female characters. Fat, ugly, degenerates with disgusting piercing and tattoos. They really dropped the ball with this game.

wow you connect video games to politics? SAD!
(not to mention you have no idea about how the perks work)

sarcasm perhaps? cant tell because its done bad.

rae, blue sailor dress..tattoos and all. give us more SJW fat, ugly, degenerates and lets make KF2 great again.
who needs blonde blue eyed calvin klein models anyway.

have you got anything constructive to add to the conversation other than your "vintage" view of women?
